Job Title: Waiter/Waitress (Server)
Compensation: $10.65/hour + Estimated Tips ($150-$180/shift)*
Status: Part-Time
Location: Manhattan - Paramount Plaza - 1633 Broadway New York, 10019

About Us: Din Tai Fung is a Chinese restaurant specializing in Xiao Long Bao, or steamed soup dumplings, each made by hand with our Golden Ratio of 18 folds. About the Role: Servers are responsible for directly servicing assigned tables while assisting with Runner and Busser functions. Servers are responsible for taking food and beverage orders while providing personalized, exemplary service for their assigned tables.

Job Responsibilities & Tasks: - Takes, confirms, and inputs into the POS all food and drink orders
- Runs beverages and ginger settings to the tables in a timely manner
- Regularly pre-buss tables and anticipates the guests needs
- Packs leftovers and prepares takeout orders for dine-in guests
- Collects and runs payments on the POS accurately and securely
- Assists adjacent servers
- Completes Server Side Work and Runner Side Work
- Monitors that all Closing Side Work is completed when assigned as a closer
- Labels all items in accordance with Health Department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures
- Attends monthly staff meetings and Server meetings
Supporting Functions: - Maintains a cheerful, friendly and welcoming demeanor to all guests and co-workers
- Keeps all Front of House areas clean, organized and sanitized
- Lifts/moves boxes, bags, chairs, and tables (up to 50 pounds)
- Assists with regular deep cleaning of the restaurant
- Maintains confidentiality regarding all propriety information, including but not limited to recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
