Job Description
Shift: Thursday - Saturday 5:00am - 5:00pm SUMMARY Operation of production machines such as SMT Pick and Place, Through Hole Component Insertion, Sequencing Machine, Wave Flow and Reflow Solder Machines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
- Sets up machinery per documented specifications.
- Runs product through machine with quality and efficiency.
- Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects and/or machine malfunction.
- Corrects defects when possible or routes defective material for rework or repair.
- Performs minor machine maintenance per documented instructions.
- Practice and participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean activities, supporting change and identifying ways to improve processes and efficiency.
- Actively participate in work group/team activities, as an enthusiastic, positive and dependable team member.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and environment.
- Provide input to problem solving process and possess good communication skills.
- The work performed in this job can only be done on site and attendance is an essential function of the job.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or GED required. A minimum of one year related experience required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, speak, and understand English to enable clear communication and comprehension of documentation.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Basic math skills required to add, subtract, multiply, & divide. Basic understanding of & ability to read performance graphs.
REASONING ABILITY Able to understand and determine product quality to written documentation.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS - Able to perform basic data entry transactions.
- Must achieve a passing score on the Milwaukee Electronics Component Identification course.
- Must achieve a passing score on the IPC Workmanship standards exam.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this position, employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include: close & distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
