Rig Welder

Job Summary:

The Industrial Welder will be responsible for performing various types of welding operations and ensuring the correct and safe usage of welding equipment. This role requires an individual who can effectively interpret blueprints and maintain a high standard of workmanship.

• Perform welding from blueprints, diagrams, or other specifications to join, surface, fabricate, or repair parts of metal or other weldable materials.
• Apply appropriate welding techniques for handling different materials and assembly requirements.
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment, understanding the limitations and safety issues of each.
• Inspect completed welds to determine structural soundness and ensure conformance with specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers and other team members to determine the optimal sequence of operations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to company protocols and OSHA safety standards.
• Prepare material surfaces to be welded, set up, assemble, and tack weld parts.
• Document processes, materials used, and work performed.
• Continually enhance skills and techniques through ongoing education and certifications in welding.

• Proven experience as a Welder, with specific experience in industrial or heavy construction environments.
• Expertise in using various welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MIG, MMA, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Certification in welding from a credible institution (AWS certification preferred).
• Strong attention to detail with dedication to quality and safety.
• Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further training in welding or a similar field is a plus.
