The Project Environmental Scientist is responsible for executing key activities and project-related deliverables within their discipline. As an Environmental Scientist, you will be a collaborator on multi-disciplinary teams working on public and private-sector projects in the Pacific Northwest. Typical project work involves wetland identification and mitigation, critical areas assessments, and planning and documentation to support project permitting. Routine responsibilities may include: coordination of and participation in field activities including assessment of wetlands, streams, lakes, marine nearshore environments and upland terrestrial habitats; site monitoring including vegetation, groundwater/hydrology and culverts; leading the development and submittal of environment permitting documentation; leading report writing with support from more junior staff; mentoring staff; proposal writing; project management; and client-relationship support. Participation in supporting our River Engineering team with stream habitat assessments, permitting assistance, and project management is highly encouraged. Essential duties may vary based on project.
This person will sit in our Bellingham, Seattle, Redmond, or Tacoma offices.

Our best estimate of the salary range for this position, located in Bellingham WA and Tacoma WA, is $74,100 - $100,300 annually. Our best estimate of the salary range for this position, located in Redmond WA and Seattle WA, is $78,000 - $105,600 annually. Compensation offered will be based on a variety of individual factors, including education and experience, as well as internal equity. GeoEngineers’ salary ranges are reviewed and updated each year and employees are eligible for pay increases based on individual performance. As part of our competitive total rewards package, employees in this role may also be eligible for our annual year-end bonus offering, subject to program eligibility requirements.
