Position Overview:

We are seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Fairfield, IA team. This position includes a mix of outpatient therapy, along with some Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and hospital coverage . Our clinic is supported by a very seasoned, collaborative team. We welcome new graduates and provide a structured mentorship program to help you thrive in your new role.

Occupational Therapist Job Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care : Assess, treat, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients based on their specific needs.
  • Documentation : Complete accurate, timely documentation for patient evaluations, treatments, and progress.
  • Program Development : Plan, market, and develop new therapy programs to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Collaboration : Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Staff Education : Present in-service training sessions to fellow staff therapists and contribute to continuous learning.
  • Operational Support : Assist in the general operation of the therapy department, ensuring high standards of care and efficiency.
  • Supervision : Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in accordance with state regulations, as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education : Bachelor’s (B.A., B.S.), Master’s (M.A., M.S.), or Doctorate (OTD) in Occupational Therapy.
  • Licensure : Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program. Must possess or be eligible for state licensure in Iowa.
  • Skills : Strong communication skills, compassionate patient care, and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience : New graduates are welcome! Experience in outpatient and inpatient therapy is a plus, but not required.
