Marketing Manager
Chicago + Full Time
Job Purpose: The Marketing Manager is envisioned as 50k’s in-house new business ‘engine’. If successful, you will quickly become a key player in the support of all new business activities. This is a
new role and will have considerable scope to quickly and materially impact the health and direction of 50k’s new business pipeline. This role will report to MD of the Chicago office.
Key Responsibilities: The role has three distinct areas of responsibility.
Setting up and managing an ongoing CRM outreach program
- Owning a target prospect client list on Hubspot.
- Conducting a regular outreach program, touching prospects according to a pre-
agreed cadence. - Maintaining up to date prospect records on Hubspot.
- Segmenting prospects according to their response and engagement and
adjusting outreach accordingly. - Sharing ‘interested’ responses with the Chicago or NY Leadership as and when
received. - Reporting on a monthly basis on the program to the above and quarterly to the
Leadership Team.
Setting up and managing an ongoing Marketing outreach
- Working with the CEO to create an agreed Marketing and Messaging outreach
framework. - Supporting the Leadership Team and all Team Leaders in the identification or
creation of content to support the above. - Supporting our PR partner in the process of placing stories amongst online
media outlets. - Managing the placement of the same on agreed Social Media channels.
- Reporting to the Leadership Team on performance vs framework plan/targets
on a monthly basis.
Sales Enablement/Supporting existing business growth initiatives and new business development.
Supporting pitch leaders as follows:
- Pulling together an initial briefing document identifying key information and insights on all new business prospects at the outset of a pitch.
- Finding, coordinating and sharing any information or content required to support the ensuing pitch, as briefed by the pitch leader.
Supporting existing business growth initiatives as follows:
- Finding, coordinating and sharing the information or content required to support the creation of any farming initiative, as briefed by client leaders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing or Business.
- At least 2 years of experience operating in a brand consulting, creative agency or consulting firm.
- Demonstrate considerable dexterity in terms of search and social media platforms.
- At least 1 year of experience working with at least one recognized CRM platform.
- Expert working in Microsoft suite, Google Office and Keynote.
- A strategic thinker, strong teammate, high energy, extremely proactive and prepared, attentive to detail, responsive and possess the ability to anticipate change and next steps.
- Diplomatic with department teams and client organizations.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Adept at directing clients and multi-track projects simultaneously.
- Ability to think critically, creatively and big-picture
- Comfortable in an entrepreneurial culture and large client organizations.
- A person who is curious and courageous by nature.
- Professional, friendly and team-oriented.
