Position Specific Description This position is part of the growing Renewable Fuels Team within NextEra Energy's Power Generation Division. The Lead Project Manager will manage a portfolio of large-to-medium scale technical projects supporting new construction and existing assets. This role will be based in Houston, Texas. Preferred Qualifications- - Working experience as a technical project manager on a variety of large-to-medium scale projects of high complexity
- Strong engineering background with a solid understanding of energy or chemical process development. Specific experience with Landfill Gas Treatment or Coal Mine Methane treatment is a plus.
- Experienced at interfacing with multi-disciplinary teams in executing assigned projects (i.e., Originations, Development, Permitting, HS&E, Business management, Operations, Construction, Commissioning and Operations)
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and subcontracting)
- Familiarity with power and gas industry standards and equipments
- Comfortable providing engineering support to a midstream processing facility.

Job Duties & Responsibilities - Oversees a variety of large-scale projects of high complexity
- Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
- Secures required resources and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks and changes
- Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis
- Identifies issues and challenges, measures and validates results, and implements solutions
- Provides expert information to internal and external clients on complex issues
- Creates and communicates presentation materials for report out and updates with various levels of internal and external stakeholders
- Conducts external research and stays abreast of new developments or innovative advancements pertaining to the project
- Provides coaching, leadership and direction to project team
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications - High School Grad / GED
- Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
- Experience: 6+ years
Preferred Qualifications - Master's Degree
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
