We are in search of a Help Desk Technician to join our team in IOWA CITY, Iowa. In this role, you will be tasked with providing IT support, resolving technical issues, and managing user tickets. This role is a contract to permanent employment opportunity, offering the chance to work in a dynamic environment and make a significant impact.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive IT support across a variety of applications, including Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Handle technical tickets submitted through multiple channels including phone, email, and in-person.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows OS, printers, and business applications.
• Offer solutions to problems within the Microsoft Office suite.
• Follow up on all technical help tickets ensuring user satisfaction.
• Maintain a thorough and updated knowledge of the Windows 7 administration and Active Directory environment.
• Ensure effective installation and configuration of Windows OS, networked and local printers.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining effective communication and quick response times.• Job Title: Help Desk Technician

• No specific years of experience required, entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply

• Possess skills in Basic Troubleshooting, ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues

• Strong Customer Service skills, ability to communicate effectively and provide help to clients

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and support procedures

• Able to work in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues to solve IT-related issues

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, able to think critically and come up with solutions under pressure

• High school diploma or equivalent is required, a degree in a related field is a plus

• Flexibility in working hours, as the role may require providing support outside of typical business hours.

• Familiarity with IT systems, software, and hardware is a plus.

• Certifications such as A+ or Network+ are beneficial but not mandatory.
