Expert Staffing West hiring for a General Helper!

1st Shift: 5:00AM-5:00PM

2nd Shift: 5:00PM-5:00AM

-Must have at least 1 year of forklift experience.

-Hours: 3-4 days weekly, must have weekend availability, schedule changes weekly.

-Pay: $18.00-19.00

Responsibilities:

• Supports in-line press machines and extruder operators with material packaging and handling.
• Ensures compliance with all environmental standards and requirements.
• Continuously seeks to improve processes both individually and as part of a team.
• Assists maintenance with machine repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Manages and handles hazardous waste responsibly.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor, reflecting the company’s commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Adheres to housekeeping standards as per plant policies and procedures.
• Provides feedback to shift leads and supervisors regarding equipment or production issues.
• Supports Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to enhance machine uptime, productivity, and upkeep of the work center.
• Takes necessary actions to manage production costs and improve profitability.
• Enforces all plant and department safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Conducts monthly safety requirement BOPs.
• Performs required quality checks, including blend checks, first articles, and hourly checks.
• Participates in and drives continuous improvement activities.
• Sets up blenders, hoppers, etc., as specified in orders (refer to detailed Material Handler Responsibilities list).
• Troubleshoots equipment issues.
• Efficiently stages products to sustain manufacturing and maintain production schedules.
• Coordinates with incoming shifts to ensure minimal disruption to production.
• Completes other assigned responsibilities and duties.
• Conducts forklift inspections at the beginning of each shift.
