In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:
- Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
- Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
- Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
- Remain in "valid" Visa status as applicable.
- A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
- Federal Work Study student may apply.
- In good disciplinary standing.
- Must be located in the U.S.
For complete program details, please go to our website: The Contemporary Writing and Production Department at Berklee is seeking applications for the CWP Technology Tutor position. This is a part-time student employment position.
Mission:
Under the supervision of the Chair of the Contemporary Writing and Production Department, the CWP Technology Tutor provides peer mentoring to students in music production and music technology topics to support Contemporary Writing and Production students taking production courses like CW-191: Sequencing and Production Techniques and CW-261: DAW Writing and Production.

Responsibilities: Tutor Contemporary Writing and Production students in technology and production courses (primarily CW-191 and CW-261).
- Hold regularly scheduled office hours during the semester.
- Maintain an inclusive department climate that supports all students regardless of their identities and learning styles.
Requirements: - Be a Contemporary Writing and Production Major student in good academic standing.
- Successful completion of the first two levels of production courses in the Major (CW-191: Sequencing and Production Techniques and CW-261: DAW Writing and Production).
- In-depth knowledge of Digital Audio Workstations, particularly Logic Pro and Pro
- Tools, and the use of the tools included in the CWP software bundle.
- Good interpersonal, teaching, and communication skills.
- Strong interest in teaching and learning, learning styles, learning disabilities, and special needs.
- Awareness of and sensitivity to the needs of a diverse student population with particular attention to academic skills and special needs.
- Commitment to tutoring of up to 6 hours per week during the Fall and Spring semesters, with the possibility to tutor up to 2 hours per week during the Summer semester.
- Availability during Lab Time hours (weeknights and weekends) is preferred.
