Job Description
Responsibilities
● Reports to CFO
● Prepare and review timely financial reports for multiple entities including consolidated financials, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable licensing and regulations.
● Consult with internal business partners on transactions to ensure proper accounting and reporting treatment in a fast paced growth oriented business.
● Conduct cash and/or accrual accounting to ensure that revenues and expenses are recorded in the correct periods.
● Perform financial audits as needed to assess the accuracy of financial statements and internal controls.
● Support new business opportunities ensuring smooth financial integration.
● Reconcile balance sheets monthly to maintain accurate records of assets, liabilities, and equity.
● Oversee accounting for accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments to vendors and accurate record-keeping and 1099 reporting.
● Managing tax payments and reporting for all entities
● Managing licensing and regulatory reporting for all entities
● Work with the CFO to analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is required.
● Record of progressive accounting experience, minimum 3+ years of experience
● Proven experience in a hands on work environment.
● Proven experience in financial accounting, auditing, and report writing.
● Strong knowledge of payroll systems and processes.
● Familiarity with accrual accounting principles and practices.
● Excellent analytical skills with a excellent attention to detail.
● Ability to mentor others effectively and foster a collaborative team environment.
● Proficiency in financial software applications such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
● Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
● Ability to explain complex accounting data in a simple way
● Ability to analyze complex issues and create alternative solutions
● Problem-solving skills
● Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
● Knowledge of accounting and financial software
● Stay up to date with latest accounting methods and technology
