Job Details As a Component Engineer you will be working at the forefront of aerospace & electronics industry, applying your expertise to the development and integration of electronic systems for aerospace applications. This role requires a dynamic individual who is passionate about their work and possesses a deep understanding of electronic component engineering. You will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and control of source control drawings, DMR, and EEE parts selection and screening. With your exceptional knowledge and skills, you will contribute to our team's mission to design and build state-of-the-art aerospace systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement component engineering plans and procedures.
2. Apply expertise in EEE parts selection, characterization, screening, and traceability/lots control.
3. Create, maintain, and control source control drawings (SCD)
4. Handling Discrepant Material Reports (DMR) and driving resolutions with cross-functional teams
5. Conduct component failure analysis and implement corrective actions.
6. Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure components meet technical requirements and are compliant with industry standards.
7. Evaluate and select suppliers for EEE parts, ensuring the quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of components.
8. Compiling part-specific data packages and ensuring accurate configuration management and storage.
9. Reviewing Incoming Inspection Data and coordinating with vendors for Quality Product Lists (QPL) and Certificates of Compliance (CofC).
10. Managing Data Management tasks including configuration, logging, and maintaining electronic databases (PLM, Access Database).
11. Conduct Destructive Physical Analysis (DPA) and manage nuclear radiation requirements for space programs.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronic component engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of EEE parts selection and screening processes.
4. Proficiency in creating and controlling source control drawings (SCD) and design modification records (DMR).
5. Strong understanding of components engineering principles and practices.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access Database, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
