Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Carrier Sales Representative to join our growing team. Based in either Raleigh, NC or Jacksonville, FL, this individual will play a pivotal role in expanding our carrier network, ensuring we deliver best-in-class temperature-controlled transportation solutions to our valued clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carrier Acquisition & Development: Develop and nurture strong relationships with current and potential temperature-controlled carriers.
2. Rate Negotiation: Confidently negotiate rates with carriers, ensuring the most cost-effective and efficient solutions for our clients.
3. Capacity Management: Monitor the availability of carriers, ensuring timely service for all temperature-controlled shipments.
4. Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues related to carrier performance or shipment disruptions.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with our customer sales and operations teams to understand shipment requirements and source the best carrier solutions.
6. Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, market rates, and capacity fluctuations, providing insights to the team to stay ahead of competition.
7. Technology Use: Leverage our state-of-the-art transportation management system (TMS) to manage daily operations efficiently.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years experience in carrier sales, brokerage, or a related role in the 3PL/freight industry.
3. Strong understanding of temperature-controlled transportation and the challenges associated with it.
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Must be based in or willing to relocate to Raleigh, NC or Jacksonville, FL.
