RESPONSIBILITIES The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
- Facilitate the smooth movement of shipments by coordinating capacity, ensuring timely delivery, and exceeding customer expectations
- Contribute to our business growth by assisting in expanding auto-assigned loads and supporting our business development initiatives
- Manage shipment capacity by liaising with carriers, negotiating rates, and making informed decisions to meet specific load requirements
- Utilize user-friendly internal tools to manage capacity procurement within established cost parameters and competitive market rates
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand carrier data, making informed decisions to support our shipment processes
- Foster new relationships with carriers through market research, outreach efforts, and thorough account qualification
- Maintain and nurture existing carrier relationships by communicating effectively, understanding their needs, and exploring growth opportunities
- Build a strong internal network, collaborating seamlessly across departments to streamline operations
- Support automation initiatives to enhance carrier activities, driving efficiency and innovation within our logistics processes
- Uphold high-quality service standards across all tasks, ensuring exceptional delivery outcomes
QUALIFICATIONS Required:
- High School diploma or GED
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Ability to persuade, motivate, negotiate, and influence others
- Ability to thrive under deadlines and work in a team environment, while also delivering independent results
- Strong prioritization skills, multi-tasking skills, and works with a sense of urgency
- Site Specific: Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal)
