POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The Business Analyst II within the Data Intelligence Group works independently and collaboratively to gather, compile and analyze data to make recommendations and improvements for the business and to identify revenue generation opportunities. You will be a key member in implementing strategies using data, tools and systems. You will focus on providing better data visibility, technology integration, systems improvements and business process modifications across the organization, specifically for our sales teams. You will collaborate with Marco team members in the definition by gathering business needs and requirements, assess available technologies and determine project requests and scope. You will translate business and system requirements and requests into technical specifications, working with internal teams to gather the necessary data requirements, scope objectives, support initiatives and collaborate to ensure a successful execution. You will manage business initiatives and analysis projects, communicating to all parties involved on a regular basis to ensure awareness and successful project completion and be responsible for gathering execution and Knowledge Performance Indicators (KPI) metrics to establish the success level of projects. The Business Analyst II mentors and coaches other Business Analysts in best practice and skill set.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Effectively document current state and desired future state, through observation and interviews with key stakeholders and primary end-users.
- Gather requirements from end-users and other key stakeholders to establish the gaps between current state and future state.
- Gathers data intelligence from a wide variety of data sources to assist in identifying and monitoring revenue opportunities for existing customers and targeting potential customers.
- Compiles and analyzes data across multiple sources to propose and support actionable recommendations.
- Analyze, summarize and report on customer and company data, including revenue tied to team initiatives to internal stakeholders on a recurring cadence.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including the Sales Teams, Service Teams, Business Analyst Team (BA), Business Intelligence Team (BI), Business Systems Analyst Team (BSA) and Developers to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Coordinate project completion, documentation, and transition to close with internal Marco teams
- Mentor/coach other BAs in best practice and skill set.
- Act in accordance with Marco policies and procedures as set forth in the employee handbook.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's degree and four years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SYSTEM AND APPLICATION EXPERIENCE PREFFERED - e-Automate Suite, ConnectWise Suite, O365 (strong emphasis within Excel desired), Power BI, Salesforce.com, Compass Sherpa, Microsoft Office Teams or similar preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS: - Strong verbal and written communication skills, working with technical and non-technical people and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships among all levels of the organization
