***This position is ONSITE 4 days/week near Montvale NJ***

Robert Half's CPG client is seeking an Art Director (Packaging) for a long-term contract opportunity. This position is onsite 4 days/week in their Bergen County office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine innovative and impactful package design concepts aligned with brand identity and market trends.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive brand identity guidelines, ensuring consistent application across product lines and marketing channels.
  • Apply expertise in pre- and post-production processes to deliver high-quality designs.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of printing techniques and materials to optimize packaging quality and cost efficiency.
  • Utilize 2D and 3D rendering skills to create compelling packaging and display concepts.
  • Stay current with digital design platforms and trends to integrate modern solutions into designs.
  • Review and approve design proofs, ensuring accuracy and brand alignment.
  • Design visual assets for trade shows, including booth displays, banners, and collateral.
  • Conduct product photography and ensure imagery aligns with brand standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with creative, marketing, and product teams to achieve business objectives.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field.
  • 10+ years of design experience, preferably in CPG, beauty, or a related industry.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Bridge.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office tools for project management and presentations.
  • Expertise in typography, layout, and design principles.
  • Exceptional skills in package design, production, and trade advertising.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly.
  • Highly detail-oriented and committed to delivering top-quality work.
  • Collaborative and approachable team player, demonstrating authenticity and a passion for design.
