Job Description

THOR Solutions, LLC is actively seeking a mid-level Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and programmatic support tasking for a program in support of NAVSEA HQ Warfare Center’s Data Call Management and Conference management.  An ideal candidate will possess prior experience providing relevant administrative and program support functions in a US Navy/DoD environment with the ability to secure and keep a secret clearance.

Typical Responsibilities:
  • Create daily data call templates for review.
  • Prepare and maintain various forms of documentation (correspondence, spreadsheets, presentations, reports) using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Perform data entry and data management within multiple customer databases.
  • Attend weekly data call sync meetings.
  • Assist Warfare center and HQ with conference processes and policies.
  • Consolidate Teir I conference packages.
  • Provide logistical support for meetings and special events, including scheduling, setup, and taking/distributing minutes and notes.
  • Support financial actions by extracting data, generating and formatting reports, and supporting other actions in the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (Navy ERP) system.
  • Collect, analyze and display data as required for various internal and external data calls.
Location:   Full time remote from any location within Rhode Island. Work must be performed within RI.

Typical Physical Activity: Desk/computer work in an office environment. May involve: repetitive motion.

Security Clearance Eligibility Required:  This position requires a DoD Secret security clearance. A qualified candidate must either already possess an active or interim Secret security clearance (highly preferred); OR be eligible for a Secret security clearance prior to hire. 

Typical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent.
    • A higher degree (Associate or Bachelors) or relevant vocational or military certifications are preferred, and may partially fulfill experience requirements.
  • At least three (3) years, and preferably at least five (5) years, of recent, relevant professional experience providing diverse administrative, clerical, or programmatic support services.
    • Experience gained in a US Navy/DoD environment is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience working with the Defense Travel System (DTS) and/or Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (Navy ERP) is preferred.
  • Intermediate or advanced proficiency and experience with common productivity software, including the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills. 
  • Ability to multi-task, self-prioritize workload, and ensure successful adherence to schedules and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working with all levels of the customer organization, from entry-level to executive, and interacting with Federal civilian, active-duty military, and/or contractor personnel.
