We are offering a short term contract position for an Accounting Assistant in the Construction/Contractor industry, located in Bronx, New York. As an Accounting Assistant, your role will involve managing customer accounts, handling customer credit applications, and keeping thorough records.

Responsibilities:
• Precise and efficient handling of customer credit applications
• Overseeing customer accounts and carrying out necessary actions
• Keeping detailed and accurate customer credit records
• Addressing customer inquiries in a timely and detail-oriented manner
• Using Accounts Receivable (AR) skills to ensure effective account management and customer satisfaction.• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience as an Accounting Assistant or relevant role in the finance sector.
• Proficient understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) and its practical applications.
• Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting procedures, including managing and maintaining financial reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with relevant software (e.g., QuickBooks).
• Strong data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors.
• Good organizational and time-management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of construction industry processes and regulations is a plus.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Aptitude for problem-solving and working independently.
• Willingness to comply with all company, local, state, and federal accounting and financial regulations.
