Job Description
We are in search of an Accounting Assistant to join our team based in Hazel Park, Michigan. The role primarily involves the management and reconciliation of accounts, handling both payable and receivable sides, along with the processing of billing data. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be tasked with ensuring accurate record keeping and efficient financial operations within our organization.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the company's accounts payable and receivable
• Accurately reconcile account balances on a regular basis
• Process billing data and ensure its accuracy
• Maintain and update financial records for the company
• Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting operations
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries regarding their accounts
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when needed
• Ensure all financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are timely resolved.
• Demonstrated experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP), including verifying and processing invoices, ensuring timely payment of bills, and maintaining vendor relationships.
• Proficiency in handling Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
• Expertise in using QuickBooks for financial management, including data entry, report generation, and financial analysis. .
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
